Privacy

This policy explains how GTfiber handles personal information when you browse gtfiber.us, use store features, place an order, or contact us. “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to a person; it does not include information that has been lawfully de-identified and cannot reasonably be linked back to a person.

1. Who is responsible and how to contact us

The store operator is GT-FIBER COMMUNICATION CO., LIMITED, trading as GTfiber. Contact us about privacy, personal-information requests, or complaints at support@gtfiber.us or +852 5186 9813.

Registered business address: Flat B02, 2/F, Hoover Industrial Building, No. 26–38 Kwai Cheong Road, Kwai Chung, Hong Kong.

Email support: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time (ET), excluding public holidays. We reply within 24 hours on business days. Identity verification and completion of a privacy request may take longer; applicable legal response periods govern those requests.

Phone support: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Hong Kong Time (HKT).

2. Information collected or processed

The information involved depends on your interaction with the store:

  • Contact and delivery identifiers: name, email, phone, billing and delivery addresses, and contact preferences.
  • Purchases and commercial information: items viewed or placed in a cart, selected configurations, order and payment status, transaction references, deliveries, returns, refunds, and purchase history.
  • Payment-related information: the payment provider processes the credentials needed for your chosen method. We receive transaction information needed to manage the order, such as payment status and limited payment-method details, rather than asking you to send complete card credentials to support.
  • Account information: account identifiers, profile details, preferences, and authentication-related information when you use an account or account feature.
  • Support and voluntary submissions: messages, order questions, feedback, photographs, documents, or test information you provide. Please remove unnecessary third-party, confidential network, or sensitive information before sending files.
  • Device, internet activity, and approximate location: IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, time-zone or approximate location derived from an IP address, referring pages, searches, pages viewed, and interactions with store features.

You may choose not to provide information, but we may then be unable to complete the related function, such as delivery or a return investigation. We do not ask you to email passwords, full card numbers, security codes, or bank credentials. Provide only the information reasonably needed for the request.

3. Where the information comes from

  • Directly from you: checkout, forms, account actions, email, telephone, and other communications.
  • Automatically through use: Shopify store functions, cookies, logs, pixels, and similar technologies, subject to applicable choices and legal requirements.
  • From service providers: Shopify, payment services, carriers, fulfillment services, and enabled support, analytics, or marketing tools, such as transaction status, delivery events, or fraud-risk information.
  • From an authorized third party: for example, a person ordering for you or a service you choose to connect. What is received depends on the feature and your instructions.

4. Why we use information

  • Provide the store and fulfill purchases: maintain carts and accounts, process payments, prepare and deliver orders, send order notices, and handle returns or refunds.
  • Help customers: answer questions, check selected specifications, investigate delivery or product issues, and maintain correspondence.
  • Maintain and improve the service: understand usage, resolve errors, remember preferences, and improve content, products, and relevant recommendations.
  • Marketing and personalization: send permitted marketing and use enabled Shopify or other marketing features to understand campaign performance or personalize relevant offers, subject to consent or opt-out requirements.
  • Security and fraud prevention: assess transaction risk, investigate misuse, protect accounts, and maintain service integrity.
  • Legal and administrative purposes: keep required records, respond to lawful requests, resolve disputes, enforce lawful agreements, and protect legal rights.

Applicable legal requirements

The requirements that apply depend on the individual, the activity, and the relevant jurisdiction. Where a law requires a legal basis, we process information on the basis appropriate to the purpose, such as performing a purchase agreement, meeting a legal obligation, a permitted legitimate business interest, or consent. Consent can be withdrawn where applicable without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. This policy does not assert that every U.S. state privacy law applies to every interaction.

5. Disclosures and recipients

We disclose the information needed for the relevant purpose to these categories of recipients:

  • Shopify and operating service providers: hosting, IT, payment, fulfillment, shipping, customer support, analytics, and professional services. Contact, order, transaction, support, and device data are provided as relevant to the service.
  • Enabled marketing and personalization services: online identifiers, usage, and commercial information, and relevant contact identifiers when required by the enabled feature, subject to applicable choices. The Shopify section below explains a feature currently used by this store.
  • Recipients you authorize: when you ask us to send information or use a connected tool. Third-party tracking services receive information you enter in their tool under their policies.
  • Legal or business-transaction recipients: advisers, authorities, or transaction parties where reasonably necessary for a lawful request, rights protection, restructuring, merger, or transfer, with required safeguards and notices.

These categories do not mean that every recipient receives every field. We do not publish your private order or support information as a testimonial without permission. If you choose to post a public review, the information included in it may be visible to others.

6. Shopify and Network Intelligence

Shopify hosts this store and processes personal information to provide its platform. Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for this store. Through this feature, Shopify may combine information about interactions with our store with information from interactions with Shopify and other merchants to improve services, personalization, and advertising. This does not give other merchants direct access to our store's customer records.

Depending on the activity, Shopify acts as our service provider or processes information for purposes described in its own privacy information. Read Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy and visit Shopify's Privacy Portal for its information and available rights tools. The choices below explain how to request an opt-out for this store.

7. Cookies, advertising, and browser controls

Cookies and similar technologies support cart and checkout functionality, security, preferences, performance measurement, and enabled analytics or advertising. You can use available store privacy controls and your browser's cookie settings. Blocking essential cookies can affect checkout or other features. Deleting cookies can also remove a saved preference, so you may need to set it again.

Where consent is required, the applicable consent controls govern non-essential processing. Browser cookie blocking is not necessarily the same as a legal opt-out from data sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. For those choices, use the dedicated page below or contact us. Shopify explains its cookies at Shopify Cookie Policy.

Sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and Global Privacy Control

Some advertising or personalization disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under particular U.S. state laws, even when no money changes hands. Where applicable, you can use our Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or email us, to request the relevant opt-out. Shopify's automated regional controls determine where its store opt-out form is shown.

Where applicable law requires it, a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is treated as an opt-out request for the browser or device sending it. Shopify's privacy controls support this signal for the processing they govern. A browser-level choice may need to be repeated on another browser or device; contact us if you need help connecting a request to your customer information.

Legacy “Do Not Track” signals are different from GPC and are not a uniform substitute for these privacy choices. A statement about legacy Do Not Track does not limit any legally required response to GPC.

8. Your privacy rights and requests

Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have rights to:

  • know or access the personal information we hold and the relevant categories, sources, purposes, and disclosures;
  • receive a portable copy of eligible information;
  • correct inaccurate information or request deletion, subject to lawful exceptions;
  • opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling;
  • limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where the law grants that right;
  • restrict or object to particular processing, or withdraw consent where applicable; and
  • appeal a denied request or complain to the appropriate authority.

Send a request to support@gtfiber.us or use an applicable privacy control on the store. We may verify your identity and the scope of a request using information reasonably necessary for that purpose. An authorized agent may need to provide evidence of authority, and we may need to verify the request with you. Do not send identity documents or sensitive credentials unless we explain a necessary secure process.

We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful exception, denial, or extension. We will not unlawfully discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising a privacy right. Some records may need to be retained for tax, transaction, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations even when other information is deleted.

Marketing preferences

Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us to change marketing preferences. Where a messaging feature offers another opt-out instruction, follow that instruction. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary order confirmations, shipping notices, security messages, or replies to your requests.

9. Automated tools and review

Shopify and payment services may use automated security or fraud-risk tools to assess transactions. If an order or access issue may relate to such a check, contact us for assistance and review. Rights concerning decisions based solely on automated processing or qualifying profiling apply where the relevant law provides them. We do not describe a provider's risk check as proof that a customer has committed fraud.

10. Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No online transmission, storage system, or security measure can be guaranteed completely secure. Use the checkout's payment process and avoid sending sensitive credentials through ordinary email.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including operating an account, fulfilling orders, providing support, keeping required records, preventing fraud, and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the type of information, the transaction, and applicable requirements. Closing an account does not automatically delete records that must lawfully be kept.

11. Children

The store is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information or knowingly sell or share it for advertising. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information can contact us to request investigation and appropriate deletion. Purchasing also requires the legal capacity described in our Terms of Service.

12. External websites and public content

Links, carrier services, or optional third-party tools may have separate privacy practices. Review those practices before providing information. We do not control independent sites. Information you choose to publish in a public feature may be accessible to other people; do not post private account or order details there.

13. International processing

Our operator is in Hong Kong, and Shopify and other service providers operate across countries. Information may be accessed or processed outside your state or country, where laws may differ. Where transfer safeguards or another legal mechanism are required, the applicable requirements govern that processing. Contact us with questions about information handled for your order.

14. Complaints and appeals

Email us with a description of your privacy concern. If we deny a request and an appeal right applies, reply asking for an appeal and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will explain the outcome and any further options required by law. You may also contact the regulator or attorney general with authority in your jurisdiction; contacting us does not waive that option.

15. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as services or legal requirements change. The revised version and date will appear here, with additional notice or consent where required for a material change. For personal-information handling, this policy takes precedence over a conflicting general description in the Terms of Service.
